The Sankalpa Project acknowledges that we are settlers on the generous land on which we gather, live, learn, and work.
For thousands of years this has been and still is the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations, Anishinaabe Nation, Huron-Wendat and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We are committed to the “Dish with one Spoon” treaty which reminds us of peace, friendship, and respect for Mother Earth, all creatures, those who have gone before us, who are here, and those who are yet to come and embrace our responsibility of putting action towards reconciliation to achieve a truly diverse inclusive society that thrives on equity, social justice, and anti-oppressive practices.
Our name summarizes the core of our guiding philosophy. Born from the heart (san) over time (kalpa), Sankalpa (Sanskrit: संकल्प) is an intention created by the heart and mind. It is a solemn vow and determination meant to harmonize mind, body, and spirit to fulfill a heartfelt calling.
A female owned and operated small business in Mississauga, Ontario; our own Sankalpa grounds us as our mind and heart synergies flow between intentions and creations of eco-friendly yoga and mindfulness products that are ethical, sustainable, and serve a social impact.
The Sankalpa Project's vision is a trifold Sankalpa vow to celebrate the whole self, stimulate sustainable wellness, and engage in social responsibility that positively impacts our community and planet.
To craft unique lines of sustainable and ethical yoga and mindfulness products for an intentional, mindful, and holistic lifestyle that use high quality eco-friendly materials, premeditated designs that benefit our community and planet.
