Located at the heart of Mississauga, Ontario, the studio at The Sankalpa Project is abundant with grounded intentions and quality materials as our mind and heart synergies flow between inspiration and creation. We endeavour to create lines of sustainable products for a grounded, mindful, and holistic lifestyle that use high quality eco-friendly materials and premeditated designs.
The Sankalpa Project is a vision that is born out of our own trifold Sankalpa vow to celebrate the whole self, stimulate sustainable wellness, and have a positive impact in our community and environment.
Handcrafted and ethically curated sustainable products for a holistic and intentional lifestyle that gives back
Our name summarizes the core of our philosophy. Born from the heart (san) over time (kalpa). (Sanskrit: संकल्प) is an intention created by the heart and mind. It is a solemn vow or determination, that is meant to marshal and harmonize the mind, body, heart, and soul to fulfill our heartfelt destiny. We believe in a holistic wholehearted lifestyle that is guided by pure intentions and manifested in mindful actions that nurture the becoming self.
We believe in community, social impact, and humanitarian initiatives that spread wellness, positive change, and kindness. We have committed to what we call our social impact promise:
The Sankalpa Project donates a portion of annual sales to a nonprofit organization. This year, we are supporting Charity Water. To give back to our environment, we celebrate our anniversary by planting one tree for every 10 products sold.
We are adamant believers in supporting and celebrating women, our sewn items are made by local women in our community which provides a flexible source of income from the comfort of their own homes.
Our community vision also extends to free community yoga classes and workshops. This year, we are supporting studio 89 and Streetsville Square for free community yoga classes.
We believe in wellness for the self, others, and our environment. We pay careful attention to reducing waste to the environment and using and creating sustainable products. We love mother nature; and we celebrate our anniversary by planting one tree for every 10 products sold.
We believe you deserve the best. Every single "The Sankalpa Project" product is crafted with an abundance of attentive intentionality, wholeheartedness, and love. Our handmade products are carefully crafted and some variations might appear. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your product, we are only an email away to address your concerns and correct it.
As supporters of Canadian economy, we pride ourselves on deliberately using materials and tools made or sold in Canada and providing flexible empolyment for women in our community.
