At The Sankalpa Project, two of our grounding values are being impact driven and equity empowered; this is why we are introducing Courageous Conversations Learning Circle.
This initiative rests on a firm conviction that yoga is way more than asanas and a physical practice. It is believing in the essence of yoga as a true form of union, freedom, and liberation for all, and a commitment to social justice and change through practice -what the Bhagavad Gita calls a “Skill in Action”.
To help start the conversations, we are investing in giving away 9 copies of "Skill in Action Radicalizing Your Yoga Practice to Create a Just World" by Michelle Cassandra Johnson so we can read and learn together.
We will meet virtually every Saturday morning from 9:00 am-11:30 am EST from September 5 to September 26th to engage in discussions and reflections on the book with each other and guest speakers.
Our hope is to co-create a shared meaningful space to read, learn, unlearn, and critically reflect on ways that radicalize our practice as yoga practitioners and take actions that dismantle isms and work authentically towards equity, accessibility, and inclusion for all on and off the mat.
Are you with us?
*Note: If you already have the book and would like to join, we'd love to have you, just indicate that in the form on the left when you complete it.
